Subscription Management
What Are Product Subscriptions?
You can differentiate between the different types of subscription businesses based on the type of product being offered as a service.
Product subscriptions are tangible subscriptions which is further divided into consumable subscriptions (example: subscription boxes for food, drinks, magazine, toilet paper, dollar shave club etc.) amd consumer durable subscriptions (such as bikes, car, furniture, equipment tech etc.).
A product subscription is when a business offers it’s products to the customer on a subscription basis instead of one-time sales.
In such business models the customer does not own the product but simply uses it in exchange for a recurring fee. The company (seller) even retains the ownership of the product and gets the product back at the end of the subscription period.
